What impresses me... women

I don't usually date really feminine women, nor do I date really butch women. I'm Dom, so I like a nice girly woman, but not overly flamboyant.

  1. Causal. Mellow women are really nice, I can't be with someone high strung or high maintenance. I need someone down to earth.
I don't know what else to add... lolz. I'll try to add more to this later.

First day of Classes...

Microbio went really well; I have homework. Its weird, last night and this morning I was really scared, but as soon as I sat down in the classroom, all my fears went away! I was glad.

General Psych... I was nervous, but the class went well. The teacher has a dress code... which sucks cause it limits my wardrobe.... No cleavage, no ass... not in those words, but you get the picture.
So the teacher asked who would be on Fear Factor for like 50,000. Most people raised their hand. Then she asked who would only do the eating part for some amount of money. About ten people, including myself, raised their hand. Then she asked us to keep our hands raised, and pulled out a bag containing two crickets and two worms. One of each were covered in white chocolate, and the other two were covered in dark chocolate. Cutting to the chase, most of the people who said that they would eat something "abnormal" for an amount of money, put their hands down once the real thing was in front of them. She then asked if there was anyone who would eat one of these for a dollar... I raised my hand... and won!!! Yay... I picked the cricket covered in dark chocolate. It was okay... it tasted like a Nestle Crunch Bar; I'm not a big fan, but I'm glad I tried it... It was my first insect. I've had arachnids, and I've had reptiles, but never an insect....

Watch out Andrew Zimmern.... I'm after your job!!!

Subscriptions....

On youtube, I have 6 subscribers.... which I'm fine with only having six subscribers, because I'd rather have six subs that watch my videos and comment, instead of 100 subs that never watch my vids...
Here's the funny thing.... most of my subs are guys, sure most of them are real life friends, but still.... its kinda a beauty channel... kinda... lolz

My problem is that I need more personality in my vids.... idk if I can do that though....
I have gotten significantly more comfortable with myself and being in front of a camera, though I never thought that I'd be camera shy....

Fragrance....

There are five categories of Fragrances...
  1. Perfume: Strongest concentration. 15-40% concentrated oils/aroma compounds. This is almost always the most expensive... 20 hours lasting ability or more.
  2. Eau de Parfum: Second strongest concentration. 10-20% compound. 16-8 hours.
  3. Eau de Toilette: 6 hours. 5-15%.
  4. Eau de Cologne: 5-4 hours. 3-8%.
  5. Eau de Fraiche: 2 hours. 1-3% aromatic compound. This is also known as aftershave. This is the lightest, so if your not into strong scents, then this would probably be the one for you.
Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette are the most common fragrances on the market.

If you want to learn more: here for the wiki page...

School...

Next week is my first official week of college... I'm not excited, but I'm not nervous either. Last year, my senior year, I was doing college courses, so I'm already kind of used to it. This semester I will be taking 16 credits. I was doing two classes this summer; I passed both! Yay! I'm so glad. I'm trying to get a job... hoping everything goes well... Hoping to move in with a friend; the rent is 400... its a good place and I can get almost everywhere pretty easily, so I really hope I get this job! My classes and books I don't have to pay for, thanks to financial aid... I would truly be lost without it!!!!

Secret: Tropical Radiance Body Spray

(Woman's) (Tropical) I bought this from my local drugstore about five years ago. The scent is okay, but I have a strange reaction from the product. The first time I wore this product, I felt sick to my stomach... literally! It was just this weird, queasy feeling. If anyone else has had this reaction, please let me know...

The scent:
Its very chemically! Yes, it smells of tropical fruit, but its very artificial.

I do have this to say, I love the bottle. Its an aerosol can with a locking lid. On the bottle is a cartoon figure of a woman, which changes depending on what fragrance you get.

What impresses me.... men...

This is sort of advice for guys...
  1. What impresses me is when I guy is totally honest with me.... when he doesn't come up to me and use a line, but instead, he tells me that he likes how I look and is interested in getting to know me. It may not get you laid, but it might get you a date.
  2. A guy who is willing to go out of his way to 1) have fun, and 2) impress me. Even if it's embarrassing to him, it means a lot to me. Especially if it embarrasses him, because that means he's willing to put your comfort first, and it also means he's willing to try new things.
  3. Being shy, now I'm not saying so shy that he won't talk to me kind of shy. I mean the gentle, sweet sort of shy, sort of like the boy next door. I find this really attractive in men.
  4. Courage. If a guy doesn't have the courage to ask me out himself, and has to get his friends to do it... 1) He doesn't have enough courage to date me. 2) Its almost always a cruel joke...
  5. Equality. If a guy is willing to let me pay for dinner. It shouldn't happen all the time, but taking turns paying for dates and meals is important. Not only does it show equal respect, but it also doesn't make me feel like a gold digger.
  6. Isn't pushy... Be willing to go slow and sort of figure out with your partner how fast your relationship should go.
  7. Humor. If you want to date a girl like me, be okay with cynical humor, and have a humor of your own.
  8. Intelligence. If I can't have a conversation with you, and you can't with me, what's the point?

Okay so this is just my opinion. If you are ever interested in a girl like me, this might get you pretty far.

On being Bisexual...

Okay I'd like to start off by saying that I am NOT a freak.... not a sex addict.... not a sex fiend... not a pedophile... and I am most definitely NOT attracted to all women, or men for that matter.

Now that that's out of the way, we can really start this conversation, and I, maybe, hope to teach at least one person something that they didn't know.

I started to figure out that I was bisexual when I was about nine, I guess. Its not like I'd stare at the girls in gym or anything, I just started having feelings for a really close friend. I had my first girlfriend when I was 12. Though we broke up, we remained friends and are still pretty close. Its kinda weird.... I've always been able to stay friends with my ex girlfriends, but never with my ex boyfriends. Over the past few years.... I've had four "official" girlfriends and seven boyfriends.

While I've been out of the closet with my friends for about five years; I still haven't come out to my family, especially not my parents... So I'm kinda afraid to post this but I think I need to.

I was going to post something useful...

But instead.... I just lost everything I was working on for a hour, so I'm pretty upset....
I will give some advice.... When blogging or working on forums, you might want to first do all your work in Microsoft Office, or any program like that, and then copy and paste this onto the desired place.... this will make sure you don't loose an hours amount of work in a single motion......

All Natural Facial Scrubs that You can make at Home!

What you will need:
An Exfoliant: This will be your base.

An Exfoliant can be:(If you can't find these products around your home, you can be sure to find them at your local whole foods store or even in your grocery store.)
Jojoba beads/grains
Coffee Grounds
Finely ground Coconut Shell
Finely ground Pearls... this is great because it adds calcium!
Finely ground Activated Charcoal
Granulated Sugar
Sea Salt... table salt works too, but I prefer iodized sea salt.
Very, Very fine, clean sand... this one I wouldn't recommend... there is just too much that can go wrong and it can be too abrasive.

Exfoliation can also be accomplished through hydration! None of these are a substitute for drinking water, so be sure you drink plenty!
You can use:
Vitamin E oil
Olive oil.... astringent as well...
Sweet Almond oil... astringent
Apricot Kernel oil... astringent
Jojoba oil
Liquid Lanolin... I wouldn't recommend this one, especially if you are allergic to wool or sheep products, it can also be thick and clog pores.
Oatmeal.
Wheat Germ.

Now you will need a binding agent; the oils listed above will work, but if you want something that will: moisturize, soften, cleanse, brighten, or fight acne, then I would try adding one of these products:

Moisturizing:
Honey
Milk
Yogurt
Any oil... though I wouldn't recommend baby oil or mineral oil.
Shea Butter
Coco Butter

Brightening:
Apple Cider Vinegar
Honey
Lemon... any acid fruit really.
Buttermilk
Green Tea
Red Wine
Coco powder
Sake

Cleansing:
Honey
Lemon
Apple Cider Vinegar
Green Tea
Sake
Coco powder

Acne fighting:
Tea Tree Oil
Any astringent oil
Lemon... any acid fruit as long as your skin can tolerate it.
Apple Cider Vinegar... don't use white vinegar... this is too harsh for your skin.
Witchhazel
Sake

Softening:
Any oil
Honey natural
Milk
Yogurt
Shea Butter

So now you can mix these ingredients, pretty much in any combination that you prefer. Just add enough liquid/oil to lubricate the exfoliant and the skin. If you have extra product, just put it into a jar, place in your refrigerator, and be sure to use it within two weeks!

My interest in Japan

Here's why I'm interested in Japan(so you know the reason why and don't think I'm a creeper!)
  1. (Most important reason) My grandfather was Japanese, so I want to discover my roots.
  2. I want to go to College there.
  3. I love the language; it just sounds beautiful to me.
Yeah, those are my three top reasons for wanting to A) Learn about Japan and Japanese Culture and B) Someday go to Japan.

Review: Mario Badescu Silver Powder

6 Stars. This product is for the treatment of clogged pores, oily t-zone, and blackheads. I haven't noticed a dramatic change in my skin after using this, but I hear really good things about it, and thought I'd try it since it only cost 12.00. The 1 oz container will last you forever!!!! I use a cotton swab, but it says to use a cotton ball. I run the cotton swab under hot water(to help open my pores), dip it in the powder, and swab it all over the places that need it. For me that's the T-zone and around my nose, like on my cheeks. I would recommend this product to people with really bad oil control problems or with severe blackheads. I have heard of people having problems getting it off after application, but I haven't had problems with this. I think its because I use apple cider vinegar for my astringent, but if that's too strong then you could use lemon juice, honey, olive oil, sweet almond oil, or apricot kernel oil. All of these are astringents and they are very gentle on the skin. Hope this helps!

Review: Mario Badescu Acne Repair Kit

  1. Drying Cream - ALL skin Types. 3 Stars. I don't have a use for this product, so, for me, its a waste of money. The smell is chemically, but not unpleasant, it just smells like they were trying to cover up the sulfur. It can be used day or night, but if you use it during the night, then your not using the other two products, which I think work better. If you use it during the day, then you smell like sulfur, which can bother the other people around you.
  2. Buffering Lotion: C,O> combination/oily skin types. 7 Stars. I don't know if this product works or not, I haven't seen much of a change in my skin since I've been using it alone, but on the bottle it does say that it takes about three applications for results to be noticeable. A 1 oz bottle costs 17.00.
  3. Drying Lotion - ALL skin types. 10 Stars! I love this product. I think it works the best out of the entire acne system. Use it every other night if using it with the Buffering Lotion, otherwise you skin might become extremely dry and flaky! When I first got this product I would wear it on top of the Buffering Lotion, and it made my skin so dry that every time I moved my face the top layer of skin would crack, this wasn't painful, but it was embarrassing. The 1 oz bottle alone costs 17.00, but the Acne Repair Kit costs 46.00.

A Tip on De-Tanning

Wear Leather! Leather pants and Jackets are the best thing to keep out the sun. Leather is 100% spf, blocks uva and uvb rays. Its actually not hot at all, its like the garment equivalent of adobe houses. In Summer it keeps you cool and protected, in winter it keeps you warm and shelters you from the harsh wind. Wearing leather is also a lot easier, less pore clogging, and less smelly than sunscreen.

Review: Mario Badescu Samples Part 2

Flower and Tonic Mask: (C,O,S)skin types. Light green in color. Menthol-esq in scent. A little more liquid in consistency than the whitening mask. This mask is very soothing and cooling, reduces irritation quickly. The full sized jar costs 18.00 for 2 oz. 7 Stars

Super Collagen Mask: (C,D,S) skin types. Light green in color, cucumber melon in scent, and a little thicker than the whitening mask. Leaves skin feeling plumped and refreshed. Full sized jar costs 18.00 for 2 oz. 10 Stars

Calma Mask:(All) Light green in color, slightly sulfuric in scent(like the drying cream), and about as thick as the whitening mask. Calms inflammation and reduces redness. A full sized jar costs 22.00 for 2 oz. 8 Stars

Purple Look

This is just a gradient, deep purple to lilac, look. I lined my eyes with black eyeliner(any will work). Then I placed the middle matte purple color from Wet&Wild's ColorIcon palette in Lust. Above that I places the purple with gold flecks from the Beauty Buzz Trio Eyeshadow palette in 03. I then blended where those colors met. The next color I used was the soft lilac color from L.A. Colors 12 Eyeshadow Palette in Chic. The last color I used was for the highlight. I placed the white purple from the Beauty Buzz Trio Eyeshadow palette in 03. The one adjustment I made to the look was that I set my eyeliner with the black purple from the Wet&Wild ColorIcon palette in Lust. This color is black with purplish red sparkles. For the lip I just used a red lipstick(any will work); over this I put a blue lip gloss. I don't know the name of the color or the name of the brand, since I've had it forever and the paint is all worn off, but Halloween is on the way, so maybe you can find some then.

Halloween

If anyone has any requests for a look or tutorial, please let me know. I'd love to hear from you! I can't promise that I'll do the look, it all depends on how complicated it is. Starting September 1st I will start to do the Halloween looks/tutorials, but I'll accept requests up until two weeks before Halloween. I love Halloween, and I'm super excited for it!

Hardcandy Cosmetics

This is a really easy, cheap, accessible brand that I really like. So far I have two eyeliners, a green one called Bamboo, and an aqua blue one called Chop Suey. I have some mascara in Electric Blue, and I have Foiled Again Metallic Shadow stick in Celestine. Which I think is supposed to be used alone, but it will crease if you do that. I use it as a base for some of my eyeshadows and it works really well for that. I love the mascara; I don't find it clumpy or too wet. I love the eyeliners because they are very pigmented, and go on super smoothly! 10 Stars for all the products I just listed!

My Acne Story

All throughout puberty, I didn't have a single serious breakout. I would get maybe one or two pimples a month. But when I turned 18, and a few months before, my face just exploded. I would have six or seven new pimple every day. I'm not really sure what happened, but my skin just went crazy. My diet didn't change, my stress level was high, but it usually is. So I really have no idea what happened. All I can think is that my hormones were thrown out of balance from turning 18. But I'm now happy to say that I am in recovery, most likely because of the products I've been using recently.

Review: Mario Badescu Whitening Mask

(2oz. for 24.00) (All Skin Types) I love this product, it was the first thing I tried from Mario Badescu. This mask started working for me in about a week. Its deeply hydrating, and very gentle to the skin. The consistency is like marshmallow cream, and the scent is lightly fruity. This mask contains Kojic Acid, which is a bi-product of the fermentation of malting rice for use in sake, which inhibits the production of melanin. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kojic_acid) 10 Stars

The Healing Garden: Pomegranate and Vanilla

(Woman's)(Fruity Vanilla) Though I don't tend to like sweet fragrances, I like this one, the vanilla helps mellow it out. The top notes are bright and fruity, but then vanilla strides in smooth and jazzy. This scent almost reminds me of Believe by Britney Spears. So if you like that, then you will like this! 8 Stars

The Healing Garden: Organics Fig & Lavendar

(Woman's)(Fruity musk) I'm not particularly fond of this one, its too fruity for me. A little lemony on the front notes, then what I think is the fig kicks in, which develops into a musk, and then this scent sweetens. This fragrance has very little staying power, but blends very easily into the skin. I don't get the lavender, it just gets lost in the fig note. 6 Stars

The Healing Garden: Organics Wild Honey

(Woman's)(Honey) I love this one, cheap, organic, and smells just like honey. Its rich and sweet, while I don't usually go for sweet fragrances, because of the honey, this one works for me. The Healing Garden line is another that is affordable and easy to find. 10 Stars

Body Fantasies: Cucumber Melon Fantasy

(Woman's)(Fruity) I'm not a big fan of fruity, sweet scents, but in general I love the scent of cucumber melon. Would I want to smell like cucumber melon, probably not. The good thing about the Body Fantasies line is that they are so easy to find and cheap, so if you get one you don't like its not the end of the world. I like the top of the bottles and most of the scents I really enjoy. This particular one, I use as a room spray instead of a body spray. If you like the scent of cucumber melon and are a fan of super sweet fragrances, this might be the one for you. 5 Stars

Perfume: Revlon's Charlie

(Woman's)(Vintage Sensual) Who hasn't heard of this classic fragrance?!!! It was super popular from its introduction in 1973 to about the early eighties. Top notes are of a light amber that becomes cleaner smelling as its worn. This scent then becomes very spicy on the end notes. Its not really my kind of scent, but if you enjoy classic fragrance this is probably the most accessible of any out there. 6 Stars

My Chasen

Okay so a while ago... this was about a week after I had gotten my chasen from Hibiki-an, the bamboo started to split! I couldn't believe it.... I was outraged! But I recognized that it isn't the fault of Hibiki-an. Its my fault because I didn't get the Kusenaoshi with my chasen when I placed the order, given, this was my first order and I wanted to make sure everything would work out, it is still my fault. What cracked was the bamboo handle of the chasen, I believe that this was due to the fact that I allowed my chasen to dry upside down. Rather it should simply be dried on the Kusenaoshi where the water can drip down the bristles and not enter the handle at all. This was the first time I had gotten a chasen without having a Kusenaoshi before hand, so it was my mistake that cracked my chasen. So I've tied a red ribbion around it for luck and protection, and of course bought a Kusenaoshi, which has helped tremendously.

Please keep this in mind if you intend on getting a chasen, for the first time or any time after.

Currently...

I am going through the depressive phase of my manic phase... if that makes sense... I can't tell anymore. This is why I am taking a break from making videos.... I have what I want in my head, but I can't get the ambition to actually do it. I'm tired, sad, angry, confused, apathetic. I just feel really bad right now. It will start to get better, hopefully, over the next couple of weeks. Until then a ll anyone can do is wait.

Live Action Role Play part 1

LARPing or Live Action Role Playing is actually really, really fun. Its a great way to get exercise, learn new skill, promote socialization, and work on acting skills. I would recommend that everyone at least try it once in their lives.

So when I was in high school, I was confronted by one of the other students and asked if if I wanted to go with him and a few other people for his 18th birthday. I said sure, but before you go, you have to register, gain some character skills, and make weapons. So this is what half the school(no joke) was doing for about four or five months! He went to one before most of the rest of us did and came back and told us that it sucked and that we should just make our own. We agreed, but no one wanted to do the work. So I pretty much volunteered, and did a monumental amount of research. This was also a really great way of earning high school credit for me!

Too be continued....(cause I'm too lazy to finish right now... lolz)

The Pentagram

The Pentagram is a very ancient and sacred symbol. Like the ankh, it is a symbol of eternity, life, death, energy, male, female, god, goddess, and much, much more. The north - pointing pentagram stands for the ascension of the spirit above material. I know there is a lot of hate and misunderstanding about the pentagram, but like the crucifix, when inverted, it means the opposite of what it normally would. Which is why Anton LaVey used an inverted pentagram for his symbol of satanism. Anton LaVey was the author of the Satanic Bible, though he believed in individualism(moral worth of an individual.) and materialism(the belief that physical possessions are important priorities), and did not advocate theism. Therefore, the inverted pentagram symbolizes the spirit descending onto material. Please take this into consideration before judging anyone.

Koicha and Usucha

For matcha, the water should be around 176 degrees Fahrenheit or lower. (About 80 degrees Celsius or lower.) If the water is too hot then the matcha powder will scald and become very bitter. I prefer a lower temperature, because it tends to bring out the sweetness of the matcha.

Usucha- is thin matcha. For usucha you would use about 1.5 to two chashaku(about half a teaspoon) for every person who will be drinking the tea. This is sieved into the chawan. Then about 2.5 ounces(about 75 ml) of water are added per person. The tea is then whisked until a heavy foam covers the matcha and is served. Usucha isn't usually served for tea ceremonies, but can be used everyday.

Koicha - is thick matcha. About three to four chashaku(about one heaping teaspoon) are added per person to the chawan. The matcha is then sieved into the chawan. The water is then added, about 1.3 oz(40 ml) per person, and is then whisked. Because koicha is much thicker than usucha, this will not froth. Koicha is almost exclusively used for tea ceremonies.

Matcha Accessories

Chawan - this is a type of bowl/cup that matcha is served in. They are usually handmade and very expensive. In Japan, the more irregularities a chawan has the more expensive and better quality it is. They are high fire bowls, which mean that they and the glazes used on them are fired in a kiln at a very high temperature. If you don't own a chawan, then any small, shallow bowls will work fine. DO NOT DISH WASH!!!! Chawan must be hand washed otherwise the bowl's clay will absorb moisture and can collect bad flavors, scents, and become moldy.

Matcha Sifter/sieve- this is often used so the matcha won't clump and the texture will be smoother in the end product. While it isn't necessary, I would definitely advise using one. This, typically, can be dish-washed.

Chasen - the matcha whisk. They can either have 80 bristles or 120 bristles. I've owned both, and prefer the 120, simply because the texture and froth is easier to create with the 12o bristles. Chasen are handmade so be sure you take care of yours. Whisks should be rinsed in warm water prior to use, so the bristles become soft and won't break as easily. It should also be rinsed after use with warm water.

Kusenaoshi - this is a whisk keeper. I absolutely recommend this if you intend on buying a Chasen. A kusenaoshi helps the Chasen keep its shape, it aids in drying, and can prevent a lot of damage that can occur in the chasen. These are ceramic, and come in either light green or blue, I haven't seen any other colors, but let me know if there are.

Chashaku - this is the little bamboo scoop/spoon that is typically used in tea ceremonies. I love mine, when I didn't have one I used a silver spoon and the matcha stuck to it terribly, match just doesn't stick very well to it! Two chashaku are equal to about 1.5 to two grams of matcha, which sounds like a lot, but its really not.

Kyusu - a tea pot. Traditionally red, earthen ware, but any color can be used.

Yuzamashi - a water cooler. This looks like a tea pot without a a lid or spout.

Chaki - an airtight container used during tea ceremonies to keep matcha for use during the ceremony.

What is Matcha?

Matcha is a very finely ground green tea, it is milled to the point of being fine powder. (Which sticks to just about everything by the way!) This type of tea is traditionally used in Japanese tea ceremonies. Matcha is a more expensive than other types of tea, so definitely be prepared. Generally, the brighter green the powder, the better the grade of matcha. Matcha should be a very bright grass green, there should not be a dry straw smell, a dark brownish color, or a deep green color. This means that the oxidation of the match has been compromised and shouldn't be used.

Sencha Matcha

This was one of my first orders from Hibiki-an. Its out of stock now, but I'm sure it will be back next year. I got a 30 gram container for about 25 dollars. I like the strength of this tea, but if your new to matcha then I wouldn't try this first. Matcha has a tendency to be bitter, and the stronger the tea, the more bitter it can be. 9 stars

Hibiki-an

www.hibiki-an.com

One of my FAVORITE sites!!!! Very easy to navigate. I love their products, and if your looking for really good quality Japanese green tea, this is the place to go! They have great, authentic tea accessories, as well as information on tea and tea culture! They've made ordering and payment very easy! You can use your PayPal!

When you get your order; it comes by air mail, which is super cool, everything is well wrapped in bubble wrap, so nothing has broken in the mail, for me at least. Your order will come in a dark green bag. Inside that bag will be another bag, this one is yellow, with a sort of quilted pattern, and then when you open that bag, there's your order and a postcard. The postcard is really cool it has four pictures of japan during summer, spring, autumn, and winter. Depending on where you live and what mail option you choose, you should get your order in about 5-7 days. I was really surprised by how quickly I got my orders.

If you like tea, I would definitely check out this site! 10 stars!

Goth

So for a long, long time I've been what I guess you could call a scene kid... lolz. I jokingly call myself this, but I don't believe in labeling people; simply because everyone is different and unique. My style varies quite a bit, between goth lolita, to prep school girl, to vintage Victorian, to old punk. Though I do have to say, I love uniforms, I just love how they look and how easily complex they can be. Makeup wise... I do like dark colors, but I also like really vibrant bold looks, I just don't think I can pull them off, so I usually wear neutrals. I love Samhain(pronounced sow-een), the Celtic version of Halloween. I love horror movies, but I will watch just about anything. I love music, in pretty much all genres music I can find a song or artist that I really like and will listen too. So call me goth, call me punk, call me scene, if labeling makes you feel more comfortable with me, then that's what you have to do.

I know I've been gone for a while from youtube, but I'll be back soon.
