I have this in Black. I only have the sample tube, 3ml, and I'm very glad for that! This is the DRIEST mascara I've ever tried. The first application was the worst. The formula is very thick and its very hard to remove. I was really anxious to try this mascara a full bottle of this mascara is $24.00. I bought this as part of the Sephora Favorites Lashstash Mascara Deluxe Sampler package.
The wand isn't bad, but the formula just isn't for me. Tarte has this to say about their mascara, "Fortify lashes by naturally increasing lash volume by 638% while increasing the appearance of lash length and growth." This is all well and good, but if your have to struggle to get this OFF your lashes its not going to improve the look of them... Basically, because your pulling your eyelashes out...
I have to mention that the Tarte eyelash curler provided in this package is probably the best I've tried! This eyelash curler is available in a set with the Lights, Camera, Lashes Mascara for $15.00.
The Mascara I'll give a 4 out of 10. The Eyelash curler I'll give a 9 out of 10!

Glamour Doll Eyes Haul!!!
Okay so I bought eight of these eye shadows, and received two extras as samples. I bought these at GlamourDollEyes.com
First off, I love ALL of the colors I received!!!! I have a couple least favorites, but I will definitely still use them.
The two Sample colors:
Cloud Coverage: Is simply a milky matte white! I love this one, the texture is amazing and the pigmentation is... just... wow!!! The most pigmented white I've ever found!!! MUST TRY!!!
Island Chic: I wasn't sure about this one. In the bag it looked like a matte teal, but really its an awesome duo-chrome!! Its green, blue, and golden yellow. Its beautiful!! This color actually reminds me of a dragon scale!!
The eight pigments I bought:
Victorian: I really thought this would be one of my favorites, but its actually one of my least favorites. I thought it would be more red, but it leans more on the purple side. Its a soft lilac color.
Royal Assassin: I love this color!! Its a deep purple, but it has this great multi colored glitter in it!!!
Lover's Lane: I love this color. Its a super pigmented red!!! Deep, blood red, with copper undertones, and a bit of rust brown. So gorgeous!!! MUST HAVE!!!
Grease Lightning: Phenomenal green/gold with a black undertone. Duo-chrome!!! This one and Island Chic surprised me by their color and how much I fell in love with them!
He Loves Me Not: This is a beautiful neutral beige/rose color. Its so pretty!
Chocoholic: I also thought I was going to love this one, but its not as rich as I was hoping. I can't really explain it... the actual color is very pigmented and beautiful, and it has a really nice red undertone to it, but its not what I thought. Maybe its too metallic for me, or at least what I think of when I think of chocolate. Maybe as I use this it will grow on me. A deep brown color with copper undertones.
Backstabber: I love this color and I honestly didn't think I'd like it this much. Its a black green color!! I'm amazed at the blending ability for the creators of these colors!!! Black can be super overpowering, but in these it gives the right
amount of depth!!!
Graves in May: First off, I love the name. Second the color is fantastic!!! Its a sheer gray with multi colored glitter and pink undertones!!! Fantastic. MUST HAVE!!!
Here are the colors: Left to right; Graves in May, Grease Lightning, Lover's Lane, Royal Assassin, and Victorian.

Again Left to right: Island Chic, Cloud Coverage, Backstabber, Chocoholic, He Loves Me Not.

Illamasqua Satin Primer
My last package from Illamasqua arrived!!! The primer is very dewy, more so than I was expecting, but I like it. It doesn't contain any silicon and adheres to foundation very well. It applies smoothly and adds moisture to the skin. You will still need a setting powder, but it does seem to make the Rich Foundation last. I haven't tried this on my face, but I will give an update as soon as I do!

Mac Cosmetics and why I do not use them....
1) I feel that they are utterly unaccessible to the general public! Spiritually, physically, emotionally, economically. I've talked to A LOT of people about how they feel when shopping at a Mac counter and most of the time they feel incompetent. That's never a good way to do business.
2) Cheaply made products that are overpriced! I've hear far too many times from far too many people that MAC products make them break out, ect. I personally don't want to pay three times the average price of a half decent product.
3) Marketing scheme! The reason Mac does all of the the "Limited Edition" lines is because it is an excellent way to make more money! People don't want to miss out on things, everyone wants to feel special, and this is an age old marketing scheme that works! Problem with that is... that more often than not there will be a number of products that aren't limited edition in with the actual new colors/products. This is why you end up with five or six of the same color... Look at Urban Decay and how many of their palettes have five old colors with five new colors, while people want the new colors and buy the product for that, they also end up rebuying products that they already have and probably don't need more of. Its why I don't buy palettes unless I'm completely new to the brand... Like I will probably buy the Naked palette.
4) Horrible costumer service!
5) Color! I know a lot of women out there who LOVE the selection of colors in MAC foundation... problem is... is that most of the time, They're only shopping for one or two colors/shades. Illamasqua has so many more shades, mainly because they're a theater company, but in their pressed powders alone there are 15 varying, different shades. Mac has whole different sets of press powders with maybe two different shades for each one... At least on their website... Given, those are just one type of product, but check out both sites and see for yourself. And yes Illamasqua is an actual "High End" brand as far as price and product... whereas MAC is significantly cheaper, but Illamasqua is a Theater makeup company... they make their products to last!
6) The whole Rodarte scandal... If you don't know about this Google is your friend.

Part of my E.L.F order that didn't turn out well.
I also ordered the Translucent Matifying Powder.. but it came shattered! Its completely unusable! The powder got EVERYWHERE!!! Including on my pants. I've contacted E.L.F, and while they don't do returns... I can get a new one. I'm glad because I really wanted to try this product. This was $3.
E.L.F Package First Impression!
Here's what I ordered:
Eyelash curler:... this is the first one I've ever owned or used. It came with an extra silicone pad which is really considerate! This was from their studio line. I bought this for $3.
Mineral Eyeshadow primer: This was $3
Shimmer eyeliner pencil: I got two of these one in Bandit, which is black with subtle sparkle, and the other in Twinkle Teal, a green shimmer, foiled color. I love these, just trying them, they are so smooth! There's a sharpener in the cap, which is nice if your traveling. These were a dollar each.
Eye Widener: Basically a shimmery white eyeliner. Its SO SMOOTH!!! The color is beautiful! I can't wait to use this! This was also a dollar!
Clarifying Pressed Powder: I got this in Ivory. It's a matte powder, its so smooth and seems to have pretty good coverage, but I got this to use as a setting powder. I think it will work wonderfully for this. It came with a puff, but I think a brush will work better. This was a dollar!
High Definition Powder: This also cam with a puff, but I'll also be using a brush with it. There's powder on the container, which isn't very professional. It shows that this wasn't packaged correctly and its a waste of product! I know this is fairly cheap, but no one wants to waste money. The powder is white, which means that it won't muddy foundation, like Mineral Veil does. I think the powder will work perfectly as a setting powder. Its very smooth. I bought this for $6
Body Glow: This is one of E.L.F.'s new products. This also came with a puff and I might use it since brushes can buff away the powder and transfer it very easily. This was packaged really well! I like the container. The powder is really shimmery! Its sort of a pale gold and you get SO much product. This was $6.
Natural Radiance Blusher: I was a little confused on how to open it, but I finally figured it out. It opens like a drawer, but its really had to open! In fact I just cut myself trying to get it open. Please, if you get this be vary careful getting if open, I literally just cut a chunk out of my skin. As a company, you probably don't want to make your costumers bleed trying to get your product open. If you do get it open, don;t let it click when you close it. I got this in the color Glow. Its such a beautiful color, but the container is so small! But for a dollar, how much product can you expect. Powder is very nice, great pigmentation, very smooth powder. I think this will blend really well!
Studio Blush: I got three of these at $3 each. The containers are great! They resemble NARS packaging. It comes with a little mirror. You get quite a lot of product. The texture of the powder is great! The first color I got is Peachy Keen, its not quite as pigmented, and its more of a glow-y color. I think it will be great for a subtle look, the color is more brown than peach, but I can use this as a bronzer! The next is Tickled Pink, I LOVE this color! I wish the color payoff was better, but its matte. This is my first matte blush, I think it will be interesting to use. The last color is my favorite!!! Its a color called Blushing Rose. It looks really dark, but its so beautiful. A red rose color with gold-ish micro glitter. Color pay off is really good! The color is amazing on the skin, but the glitter doesn't come through as much as I'd like. This color is a little iridescent, which is what most people would call duo-chrome. I love it!
Shimmering Facial Whip: I think this product can be used so many different ways! I'm really excited about it! I have the color Lilac Petal. You could use this by mixing it with your tinted moisturizer or foundation to make it dewy(I think e.l.f suggests this.), You could use this as a lip tint, either by mixing it or using it on it's own, a high light, eye shadow base, ect! Consistency is nice and creamy, and its very light, it blends well. It has a great smell, very subtle orange. I wish the lilac came out more. This was a dollar!
Lip lock Pencil: This is just a translucent lip liner, I'm not sure how it will work, but I think its really interesting! I just opened it and it broke... I'm not even sure how. I think I can still work with it, but it sucks that it broke... I think its because the packaging doesn't fit securely around the product... There's a lot of space around the product! Which is weird because this is one of their studio products. This was $3.

Review: HardCandy Sheer Envy Primer and Illamasqua
I like this a lot! This is $8 at Walmart, but its 1.6 fluid ounces! My Illamasqua primer is only 1oz. for 19 euro, but I got a discount which was 20% off, so I got mine for about four euro off... So 17 euro plus shipping. The reason I actually got a discount is because there was some sort of shipping problem. And they didn't ship my order... which happens around the holidays, its pretty common, and I'm glad we have it all figured out. Here's what I'm worried about... I still haven't received either package. The first package is pretty late... like three weeks to a month... but again it is the holiday season and the mail system has been slow since the bombs from Yemen were found... so it will take longer... I just wished I had a tracking number...
Okay... Back on subject. I just got this today, so I've only tried it a little bit, so I guess this is more of a first impression than a review... I don't know if I can steal that or not since Xsparkage has already used it for her video line and probably for blogs too. Oh well. The consistency is really interesting. It has several types of silicone in it, Dimethicone, silica, Dimethicone Crosspolymer and several others. So if you have an allergy to silicone.... DO NOT USE THIS!!!! I had to shake mine before application, it seems to separate pretty easily. Coming out of the tube... the primer itself is white but it blends clear. The texture is kinda like collagen. Like hydrated collagen or really thick Jell-o. It blends really well... very smooth, but like most silica based products it doesn't exactly dry, or at least it doesn't feel like it does. Its very light weight, but I can't tell how it will do with fine lines or large pores.
I'd like to mention that this company, DOES NOT test on animals which is always a good thing. It's cheap, accessible, and you get quite a lot of product for the price. Hard Candy also has really good quality products. I definitely recommend them! As I use this, I'll probably post an update as well as a comparison between Hard Candy and Illamasqua.

Illamasqua Rich Liquid Foundation!!!! And a Great Cause...
It finally came!!! I will absolutely post a review on it once I've tried, probably on both Youtube and on here. First impressions. Silky!! It feels like a primer, and yes it does contain Silica. After removing this foundation, my skin feels super soft like actual silk, really hydrated and smooth. It seems to blend really well, even without a primer underneath it. Color is AMAZINGLY pale!!!! This foundation will need a setting powder!
This Thursday I'll have a chance to try it, because my boyfriend's mom is hosting a costume party for Movember. The theme of this year's party is: Heroes and Villains... so is should be the perfect place! The party will be held in Aspen, and I believe its open to the public... if not, Just tell them that your Penny's Guest! (Can't guarantee anything, but worth a try. ^_^')
Movember: “The Mo, slang for moustache, and November come together each year for Movember.
Movember challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. The rules are simple, start Movember 1st clean-shaven and then grow a moustache for the entire month. The moustache becomes the ribbon for men’s health, the means by which awareness and funds are raised for cancers that affect men. Much like the commitment to run or walk for charity, the men of Movember commit to growing a moustache for 30 days.
The idea for Movember was sparked in 2003 over a few beers in Melbourne, Australia. The plan was simple – to bring the moustache back as a bit of a joke and do something for men’s health. No money was raised in 2003, but the guys behind the Mo realized the potential a moustache had in generating conversations about men’s health. Inspired by the women around them and all they had done for breast cancer, the Mo Bros set themselves on a course to create a global men’s health movement.
In 2004 the campaign evolved and focused on raising awareness and funds for the number one cancer affecting men – prostate cancer. 432 Mo Bros joined the movement that year, raising $55,000 for the Prostate Cancer Foundation of Australia - representing the single largest donation they had ever received.
The Movember moustache has continued to grow year after year, expanding to the US, UK, Canada, New Zealand, Ireland, Spain, South Africa, the Netherlands and Finland.
In 2009, global participation of Mo Bros and Mo Sistas climbed to 255,755, with over one million donors raising $42 Million US equivalent dollars for Movember’s global beneficiary partners.”
I got this directly from the Movember Foundation website: Here's the link...http://us.movemberfoundation.com/
I think this is a great cause because Prostate cancer is one of the least talked about cancers, and all of the proceeded go to finding a cure! You can find out more about Movember by clicking that link and going to the “About Movember” tab.
So I guess that's all I have for now... I will post the location of the party as soon as I can.

Why I don't Use Waterproof...
When I was first getting into makeup, I would always wear waterproof mascara. Alas, it was so hard to take off that I eventually just kept it on. Now I wasn't one of those girls that would pack it on everyday, I'd apply my mascara on Monday and wear it till Friday. I know that that's complete un-hygienic, but what can I say... I was young, and foolish.... After a while though I started to notice my eyesight getting worse... not just my eyesight.... but because my eyes are SUPER sensitive they would almost always be irritated. So I eventually just stopped wearing mascara, and when I got back into it, I, now, only wear the regular kind. Honestly, I don't notice a difference between regular and waterproof. Any mascara is going to wear off in the pool... but I don't really cry, the rain/snow doesn't seem to effect it, I don't get smudges, and I don't get clumping. The only difference I notice is that regular mascara is sooooo much easier to get off.

Review: Bare Minerals Prime Time Prep Kit
I bought this kit for twenty nine dollars. It included the Prime Time Foundation Primer, Eye Rev-er Upper, and and the Skin Rev-er Upper.
1) Prime Time: This was the first primer I had ever used, and I actually really like it. Even though it is silica based, it doesn't clog my pores very much. Its very Moisturizing! 8 out of 10
2) Eye Rev-er Upper: This is sparkly... so I'm not very fond of it. I don't think its very moisturizing, but it does absorb really easily. 5 out of 10
3) Skin Rev-er Upper: I'm not that fond of this product either. Its not very moisturizing either, but again it, does absorb really easily. 6 out of 10

Review: Bare Minerals Foundation
I have both Fair and Fairly Light, neither of them work very well on me. Their both too dark. Even Mineral Vail is too dark on me and makes me look rather muddy. These foundations have no coverage and no staying power. They tend to be pretty drying, as well. I have the original, I haven't tried the matte, simply because I dislike the foundation and I really don't think its worth the money. 2 out of 10

Review: Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse Foundation
I like this product for the texture and the coverage. It also lasts a really long time. I have this foundation in Porcelain Ivory, the lightest color they have. Its too dark for me and its warm, so I usually mix it with my Covergirl Clean foundation, since that's cool. It really does give you an airbrushed finish and its very hydrating! 8 out of 10, just wish is was a better color.
Review: Covergirl Clean Foundation
Color: Ivory. Skin Type: Sensitive. I live this foundation simply for the color, but as it turns out, if used alone it looks redish...not even like you have red skin, it looks pretty artificial. It's very sheer, and very thin... you definitely need a setting powder for this one... I usually mix this with Maybelline Dream Liquid Mousse which works pretty efficiently. Overall, its a 6 out of 10.
Review: Revlon Beyond Natural Skin Matching Foundation
This is one of the worst products I've ever bought!! And the thing is that everyone loves this stuff! I haven't read a bad review... So here's one! The color, mine is light, is sooooo muddy and dark, I can't use it since I never tan. The color is like orange-tan-ish brown. The product is runny... watery. It just pours out of the tube and you can never get the right amount. Its like seven dollars, but I could have saved that for something else... I've used this with a primer, which thickens it slightly, but it tends to sink into the pores without primer. Its very drying!!! Honestly, I can't say much else about this foundation since I didn't keep it on my skin for more than a half hour! It really sucks, cause I LOVE Revlon products! Sorry Revlon, maybe have a Super Light... then we'll talk. 1 out of 10
Update... 11/17/10
I ordered the riche liquid foundation from Illamasqua... finally! We'll see how it works when it gets here and I'll do a review. Lets hope it works and I don't have to return anything... I've also gotten a new keyboard for my comp, so I'll have working nine and question mark keys. *just in case you were wondering why I haven't been typing either of these*
E.L.F cosmetics
Otherwise known as eyes, lips, face. I wanted to purchase some items from this site, but its yet another site that apparently doesn't have a paypal option.... Which sucks... but what are you going to do. Thing is, is that there was a little paypal seal at the bottom of the page. Can any one explain this.

Great News from Illamasqua!!!
They now accept Paypal!!! I'm so delighted to hear this news, I have a debit card and I've always wanted to try some foundation from Illamasqua!! Shopping online with a debit is very dangerous, more dangerous than shopping with a credit card! So I use paypal for everything, and I'm really happy that now I can shop my favorite makeup website with peace of mind!

Halloween
Though I haven't gotten any requests for Halloween makeup looks/tutorials, I have a few of my own! I will be doing so really wearable looks during this time as well, but they will be based off of history/historical events. I will also start doing movie review blog posts as well.
Wish me luck!!!
