Everyone knows the baby shampoo trick, but another affordable alternative is puppy shampoo. Its just as gentle and conditioning, and tends to be just as cheap. Here's why I like using puppy shampoo better than baby shampoo, baby shampoo is intended for human hair, puppy shampoo is intended for animals. Because puppy shampoo is intended for use on animals, the ph is better balanced for animal hair, and since a lot of brushes are made of animal hair I figured why not try it. Puppy shampoo is a reasonable alternative, that in many cases can be better for your brushes than baby shampoo.
