Sun Tea

I started by filling this glass container with filtered water. This container hold 64oz.

I was looking for a black tea for this and found this stashed away. I don't really like Lipton teas, but I wild berry sounded good for Iced Tea.

Because I'm using a 64 oz container, I put in 8 tea bags. Basically, a bag per 8 oz. I like my tea strong, so depending on your preference add as much tea as you like. Sun tea can also be made with loose leaf tea.

Here, I've gathered the ends and knotted them for easy removal.

I've secured the ends with a black rubber band.

 Put the lid on.

Cover with a couple Coffee filters and secure with a rubber band.
I set this outside in a full sun area at 7:30 am.
Here the tea is at 3:00 pm.
Here it is a 5:00 pm.
 I brought the tea in a 5:00.
Add a half cup of sugar, or to taste.
 Stir well and enjoy.

What being a Spiritual Consultant means...

As far as I define it. You'll find different definitions everywhere. This is a question I often get asked on Youtube.  What is a Spiritual Consultant? What do they do?

Okay so I, my friend Juan, and an older woman he introduced me too, started a business together. A Botanica. Typically, Botanicas are Santeria Shops, but we each brought our own expertise. Juan is a Wiccan. M and I are witches. I'm a Celt, she's a Santeria practitioner. The Botanica closed due to some unexpected differences in ethics.

But Spiritual Consultant is what I termed us, because we are life coaches in a sense. We assist people with their problems and try to help them within reason. THIS doesn't me we're miracle workers, we're not... but some people would expect that and its not how magick works. Magick can't do everything for you, prayers can't save a life, but it opens a door. You have to do the rest. I can gather energy for you to use, cleanse your aura, rid you of negative energy, but I can't bring the dead back to life... I wouldn't if I could... I can't save you from prison if you've wronged someone and need to pay for your crimes. I WILL NOT conjure a girlfriend for you or make a woman fall in love with you, and I will not do anything that goes against my ethics... Forcing your will on someone, no matter the form, is RAPE. period. I will not negotiate against my ethics... As a costumer, I would never ask such a thing from you, so please don't ask me to.

Sorry, I had to rant about that, at least one more time.

On to the definition... A Spiritual consultant is a life coach. I extend this to spirituality, but it usually extends farther. Up to religion. A priest is a Spiritual Consultant, they work with prayer and confession. Witches work a little differently, even though prayers are a form of spells and you have to first be open about yourself before we can help. If you feel blocked, then we can cleanse your aura. If you need help with the law being lenient on you, we can work a spell. If your boyfriend is abusive, we can help you either get the courage to leave or help you stop him from hurting you. We work at give you the power, courage, energy, ect to live a successful healthy life. We strive to give you the control over your own life and make things happen for yourself. You will never get a job by just sitting on the couch, no matter how much magick I use.

Sun Tea

Tomorrow I'll be making sun tea. I'm not sure what kind of tea I'll use... Probably some black tea I have hidden in my cupboards. I WILL NOT  be boiling this before or after. I'm not afraid, I've consumed sun tea since I was a little girl... and I've also consumed Kombucha, which has WAAAAY more bacteria than sun tea. BTW... Sun tea is pasteurized....  Survival specialists have used the power of the sun to pasteurize water for years. Pasteurization taking a substance and using low heat to kill the bacteria. Low heat and a long time. Also, if you stick this in the refrigerator afterwards, that slows the growth of bacteria to a stand still. I know that for a fact from petri dishes...

Not all bacteria are bad!!! The human body is NOT sterile. Adding natural bacteria found in most drinking water is adding competition for really bad bacteria like E.Coli 0104: H4... I'm not referring to the E.coli that's found in the human colon... I'm referring to the deadly kind of E.coli. The kind you study in Microbiology.

I'll be adding the sugar after its finished brewing and then sticking it into the fridge. I'll post pictures tomorrow.

TAKE HOME MESSAGE.... Don't be afraid of sun tea or kombucha... both are very healthy in small amounts. The only time something bad happens is when there is an overgrowth or you consume too much. For instance, Gardia can be found in almost everyone's fecal matter in this Valley... why is no one sick? Because there isn't an overgrowth. People have enough competitive bacteria in their systems to fight it off. Kombucha can make people sick, but mostly its because of them consuming a 16 oz. bottle a day for a month... That's like drinking Apple Cider vinegar every day for a month. This can cause Metabolic Acidosis(http://www.nytimes.com/2010/03/25/fashion/25Tea.html), and can be contaminated with a type of toxic fungus. Which is why I wouldn't recommend making your own or buying it from someone one off the street. But drinking bottled kombucha can supplement probiotics and can really whiten your teeth! Just don't drink it every day.

On being Bi... Part 2

I always wonder about people... The ones that say being gay is a choice... I wish I had a choice... But I'd probably choose to be a Lesbian, but I was born this way. I can't help that I'm attracted to men...HAHAHA!!!

Anyway, being Bi is sooooo much different than being gay or straight. I like both. But I get excluded a lot more for that fact.... The Lesbian community says, "You like men???!!! That's sooo weird!" (I'm generalizing, but still.)

Straight women say, "EWWWWW! You like women! Don't hit on me!!!" (Again, generalizing... with a bit of dramatization.)

Straight men say, "Oh my god that's sooooo hot. Does this mean we can have a threesome? Can I watch... ect" OR "What?!!! Why?!!!" (Now I'm not dramatizing!)

Gay men say, "Ohhhhhh... cool." and then act afraid of me...

NOT all, but this is a taste of what I've gotten.

Lesbian's typically DO NOT like being with a Bi chick. Why? Because its hard for a bi woman to feel satisfied by just a woman or just a man. This is where the stereotype of bi's loving or wanting to have a threesome comes from. I will say that I am polyamorous, but I don't think that I'd like to have group sex. I'm not against the idea, but I'm not for it either. I've had two lesbian girlfriends. One dom, one sub. My dom girlfriend was too dom for me, as I generally tend to be dom but not butch.

As I like to say, I'm too Dom to be Lipstick, and too Lipstick to be Butch. This is what lead me to the realization that I'm a Dominatrix. I'm an utter sadistic pugilist...

Anyway... Its hard to be bi, we're always standing on a fine line... not being entirely gay, not being entirely straight. We don't exactly fit in with the Gay community, and we don't exactly fit in with the straight community. So its even harder to find our place.

I had a friend who's mother believed in Gays, but didn't believe in Bi's. And that really saddened me... That a Catholic woman could accept gays... but not accept Bisexual as an actual sexual orientation....

Having Sex with a Woman... as a woman

Not that I've ever been a man, but you get what I'm saying. If you've read my earlier blogs, you'll know that I'm Bi, but I'm not out to my parents. My mother is a bit homophobic. My first time was with my long time girlfriend, I mean we were off and on because of distance, but we had been together for about two years.

I trust her completely.

Trust is a huge issue in sex and relationships. We were together and passionately in love and just went for it. We got a hotel room. Took a bath together. We laid on the bed and started kissing and touching and exploring...

I achieved orgasm twice. After that, nothing really changed between us; she went home and I stayed in Colorado. When we're together we're together and when we're apart we're not.

Sasa Haul 5/13/11

I received my package Thursday; it shipped within a week and a half of ordering.
My order total was 47.50, so minus $6 for shipping, I spent 41.50 on these products.

I'll go into detail about these products later. I'll just show you them for now. CLICKABLE PICTURES!!!! ^.^

The first thing I ordered was Two Girls Living Rose Cream. This was the miniature jar;  I always recommend getting sample sizes, otherwise you run the risk of spending a lot of money on a product you can't use. Especially if you have sensitive skin. This was $2.10.

Next I got the C+M Green Tea Whitening and Firming Eye Cream. I've wanted to try this since the first time I saw it on Sasa in February.

This was $4.20 for 20ml

I reordered the Mentholatum Hand Veil Whitening Cream, which if you've been reading, you'll know I love!!!

I ordered the C+M Anti Wrinkle Whitening Cream. Recently I've been noticing smile lines forming under my eyes, probably because I don't drink enough water and I stay up all night. I also have freckles right under my eyes, since you can't really put sunscreen under your eyes. This is my reason for ordering so many whitening and hydrating products. I have used this under my eye and it works perfectly fine.

This was $2.80 for 10 ml.

Next I bought SkinFood Agave Cactus Sun BB Cream. This product has an SPF rating of 36 and a PA rating of +++, which means it offers strong protection from UVA rays. I got this in color #1, which is a bit yellow.

But the cap is really pretty! I got this for $18.70.

C+M Over Night White Moisture Emulsion is next, which is 65ml and was an amazing $2.50!!!  THAT'S AMAZING!!!

Next, which shocked me, is the Arbutin Whitening Serum from Genie in a Bottle. This was 30 ml at $8.40, and Sasa says its a four piece. Here's what I thought it would be... Four tiny bottles of serum, all adding up to 30ml. Here's what I received....

All four of these bottles are 30ml... Together they equal 120ml of product.... Of Whitening SERUM!!! Can you believe it? I can't.... Or at least I couldn't when I opened the package!!! At $8.40 that's a phenomenal price. And the bottles are super pretty, I just wish they came with instructions on how to open them. And a lot of the ingredients are super yummy! I can't wait to try these!!
